Fat Tuesday 2024
It starts today, again. 🤣 Better stated, God has been preparing me for this task, and finally now the moment has arrived. We’ll see, maybe I’m still being prepared, either way – IT BEGINS.
What begins?
So glad you asked! My internet dreams, my core dump, and my “lightenment” (my own new word for putting things online and lightening your paper load, aka, decluttering the shelves and my brain):
- my recipe log,
- my pantry log,
- my costs log,
- my nutrition log,
- my meal log,
- my exercise log,
- my health log.
Once I get rolling with these pages, (I do love cooking and saving money and calories, so starting here is pretty motivating), they will be followed by or coincident with a gallery of my mountain of kid’s papers and old photos of mine and parents from the early years before digital pictures.
Once I’m super limber at the whole internet and logging things, I’m going to be creating a saints database. As I study (and hopefully emulate) more saints, I’m going to need a place to keep and share all I have learned! I’ve always had a dream of making a saint game. Maybe I will! There will be cards, because I love paper cards. Playing cards, Pokémon Cards, Uno cards, prayer cards … there is just something about the snap of cardstock in your hand. Yep, I just can’t wait to make saint cards. Hmm, thank goodness I’m making room for more paper!
Fat Tuesday seems like a fitting day to start, it always is God’s perfect timing. Less junk food and mindless scrolling and more logging and reporting this Lent.
This Lent I will:
- count my blessings, there are so many! (using my pantry program and meal and health logs, and photos),
- take extra good care of His temple, that would be me! (with my nutrition and exercise log)
- pray and learn with the saints, to grow in holiness! (I always do better with examples, thank God for the Saints before us to show us what holiness looks like!)
- share what I learn, easy! (I’m going to blog my journey)!
I’ve got big plans for Lent! But today IS Fat Tuesday, maybe one last cookie and news headline to hold me over to Easter. I’m so excited to start, I don’t even want them! What is happening ….
